We had three people who were baptized, which was awesome. They are all really good people. One young girl, Gracia, which is good for the branch here. There are I think 5 young women, and 0 young men. And maybe 6 or so in the primary. A young man, Crepin, I think he is around 19 or 20. He could prepare and go on a mission if all goes well. And Melanie, who is probably 50 or so. She is awesome. She has had a hard life, she had to flee Congo to come to Benin in secret because her husband wanted to kill her as a sacrfice or something. I might have written that before. She tried to get a divorce, but wasn't able to, her husband has a lot of power. Anyways, I might have written that before, just know that her situation is complicated. So, she had an interview with President Ayekoue, and will be an awesome member. I think we will eventually baptize several of her kids, and her friend Martine, another investigator, who was the reason we started teaching Melanie in the first place. Referrals are great. So, the missionaries taught her for quite a while before she got a testimony, but it is good now.

Zone Conference
Zone conference was good. Usually after that I always feel like I have had my faith increased, questions answered, etc. And I felt that this time too. But, especially the Friday and Saturday after the conference and interviews, I was feeling like I left with more questions that I started with. There are times where it is really hard to live in another culture. There are things that are just so different, not necessarily bad, though sometimes I feel like there are better ways to do things.Thursday, April 9, 2009
